Invasive weeds focus of upcoming conference

On Wednesday and Thursday, March 16 th and 17 th , Deschutes County will host the second annual Cascade East Vegetation Management Conference at the Deschutes County Fair & Expo Center.

The event, aimed at area professionals who supply, design, maintain or manage landscapes, will focus on invasive weed species control.

“This two-day conference offers a unique mix of classroom and hands-on training,” said Ed Keith, Deschutes County Forester. “It’s a great opportunity to come together as we head into a new growing season to learn new techniques and best practices for vegetation management.”
