Valuables found at county transfer station near Sisters

KTVZ

Cash and jewelry appear to have been accidentally discarded at the Northwest Transfer Station and Recycling Center on Fryrear Road near Sisters, officials said Thursday. Crews working at the site discovered the valuables, and Deschutes County wants to reunite them with their owners.

“It’s rare that we find valuable items like these. But when we do, our number one goal is to get them back to their owners,” said Operations Supervisor Chad Centola. “I’ve been doing this a long time, and it’s not too often that we’ll turn up something like this.”

If you believe the items are yours, please call 541-330-4640 to identify them. Please be prepared to provide a detailed description and timeframe of when you may have discarded your valuables.
