A 29-year-old Bend man faces DUII, reckless driving and other charges after his SUV crashed into and wedged under the foundation of a mobile on Bend’s south end, police said Tuesday.

Officers responded shortly before 9:30 p.m. Sunday to the report of a vehicle under a home at 61280 Parrell Road No. 20, said Lt. Clint Burleigh.

Officers arrived and found a 2003 Ford Explorer had crashed and was wedged under the foundation of the home, Burleigh said.

They said Cesar Corona Jr. had crashed through a fence and into the home, which was occupied at the time, the lieutenant said. There were no injuries, he added.

An investigation determined Corona was at fault and alcohol was suspected to be a factor, Burleigh said.

Corona was arrested and booked into the Deschutes County Jail on charges of DUII, reckless driving, recklessly endangering (for occupants in the home), first-degree criminal mischief (for damage to the house) and a misdemeanor charge of driving with a suspended license.

A jail officer said Corona arrived at the jail around midnight Sunday and was released on his own recognizance shortly before 11 a.m. Monday.
