Some areas waking up to light snow, drying out today

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) - Cold air is still moving through the region today. Expect breezy and cool conditions today, with highs mainly in the 40s across Central Oregon.

There may be some lingering snow showers across the Cascades that could spill into the High Desert this morning. Slick road conditions are possible, so the Local Alert Weather Day remains in place through the morning.

We are waking up to some cold temperatures today. Make sure to cover any budding plants or sensitive vegetation, as lows are dipping into the teens and 20s.

Road conditions around 7:30am Thursday morning

Skies will turn mostly sunny Thursday, but it will remain chilly. Drier and calmer weather is expected Friday through the weekend, along with gradually warming temperatures.

A pleasant warm up is on the way tomorrow! Highs will climb into the mid to upper 50s under mostly sunny skies. Temperatures will rise into the upper 60s in most locations by Saturday. Expect more sunshine as high pressure builds over the Pacific Northwest.

Sunday will be a transition day, with increasing clouds ahead of the next system. Rain chances return Monday, bringing a shift back to cooler and more unsettled conditions.
