Northbound lane of Purcell Blvd. to close for sewer project

KTVZ

Beginning Monday, yhe northbound lane on Purcell Boulevard from Neff Road to Full Moon Drive will close for two to three months for construction of a much-needed sewer line, city officials said Tuesday.

The Neff / Purcell Sewer Line is the final phase of the Southeast Interceptor which has progressed along 27 th Street. The Neff / Purcell Sewer Line website is here. The Neff / Purcell Sewer line segment connects the Southeast Interceptor to the existing sewer collection system.

The Southeast Interceptor will relieve sewer pipeline capacity issues around Bend, allow the City to decommission energy-consuming sewer pump stations and will create availability of gravity sewer service to some unsewered properties.

During construction of the Neff / Purcell Sewer Line, vehicles will be able to travel southbound on Purcell, but parking will be restricted on Purcell within the work area to accommodate southbound traffic. Please drive carefully in this area and follow posted detour routes.

The best access to St. Charles Bend will be off Neff Road at Williamson Court or Medical Center Drive.

The public is encouraged to seek additional information about our wastewater collection pipeline improvements at the Southeast Interceptor website www.bendoregon.gov/SEI or by calling the city’s project hotline at 458-202-7349.
