The Family Access Network Foundation (FAN) announces new leadership roles, as well as a new addition to the FAN Foundation board.

Valerie Yost, who joined the FAN board in 2012 and was previously the Vice Chair, has been voted in as the new Foundation Board Chair. Alisa Betz joined the FAN Foundation Board in 2016 and was voted as the new Vice Chair. Sunny Maxwell, who has served on the FAN Foundation Board since 2014, will remain as the Secretary/Treasurer. We also are pleased to announce a new FAN Foundation board member, Lizzi Katz.

· Valerie Yost is the Marketing Director for Brooks Resources, one of the region’s oldest and most respected real estate development companies.

· Alisa Betz is a community volunteer and served on nonprofit boards for several years prior to moving to Bend.

· Sunny Maxwell is the owner of her own design company, Maxwell Design, which specializes in home renovations and interior design.

· Lizzi has worked in healthcare for many years, most recently as the Community Education and Survivorship Coordinator at St. Charles Cancer Center. She is also a writer, and partner in both Pizza Mondo and Kebaba restaurants.

All of these women have a heart for children and for what FAN does in the Central Oregon community. The FAN Foundation Board is a working board that requires dozens of volunteer hours from our board members each year. With their diverse backgrounds and skills, our board helps FAN change the lives of thousands of children each year.

Unique to Central Oregon, FAN began in January 1993 and currently employs 25 advocates in 52 public school (K-12) and early childhood sites to efficiently reach and connect disadvantaged children and families to critical basic-need services such as: food, shelter, clothing, healthcare and more. FAN’s mission is to improve lives by ensuring that all children in Deschutes and Crook Counties have access to basic-need services.
