Portland man arrested after crashing into police car

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – A Portland man is accused of crashing his car into a police cruiser before being tracked down by a K-9 team.

KATU-TV reports (http://bit.ly/2y3MCld ) someone called police at about 9:30 p.m. Saturday reporting people dealing drugs near the Red Roof Inn.

An officer saw two cars in a parking lot. The officer tried to talk with one of the drivers, but he backed his car into the officer’s patrol vehicle before driving away.

The officer wasn’t hurt, but her car was damaged.

Police say they found the suspect’s vehicle abandoned in a nearby neighborhood. They called in a K-9 team.

K-9 “Mac” found the suspect, William Henry, hiding under a tarp.

Henry was booked into the Multnomah County Jail on reckless driving, attempt to elude and first-degree criminal mischief.
