Rimrock Trailhead closure extended through Friday

KTVZ

The Deschutes National Forest has extended the closure in place for Rimrock Trailhead to allow for the completion of a tunnel under Cascade Lakes Highway and the paving of a path from Entrada Lodge to the Cascade Lakes Welcome Station.

Rimrock Trailhead (formerly known as “Good Dog”) was originally scheduled to open on Saturday, October 21, but materials for the construction were delayed. The trailhead and tunnel will now reopen on Saturday, October 28.

The newly constructed tunnel will help facilitate the safe crossing of the highway on a trail that will connect the City of Bend to the National Forest.
