Redmond’s Jericho Road receives $10,000 grant

KTVZ

The Central Oregon Health Council has awarded a $10,000 grant to Jericho Road, a Redmond-based non-profit that provides food and housing assistance.

The Health Council’s Executive Director, Donna Mills made the presentation to Eleanor Bessonette of the Jericho Road Board, saying that the funds are to assist the Housing Assistance Program through lessening homelessness and related issues. The funds are also meant to help expand the program to include seniors, disabled, veterans and the working poor in the Redmond area.

Ms. Bessonette accepted the check from Mills saying, “These funds will have a significant impact on our ability to help keep people in their homes and in preventing homelessness. We are extremely excited in knowing that the Health Council is supportive of local organizations and their efforts to provide assistance in our communities particularly during the current housing challenge for people with limited resources. This is so wonderful”!
