Good Thursday Morning, Everyone…
A powerful storm system centered just off the Oregon coast gained strength overnight and is making landfall this morning. The front associated with that system will rake across the state through the day today. This will make for a windy, rainy day on the high desert. Highs will be in the low to mid 50’s. SW winds sustained at 20-30 mph this afternoon will gust as high as 40-45 mph. A chance of mixed showers will stay with us tonight as lows drop to the low to mid 30’s. It will also stay breezy as winds turn southerly at 10-20 mph with gusts to 30 mph.
Some of this storm activity will be drawn into Friday and then break up later in the day. While some areas will have a chance at seeing an isolated shower Saturday, most of the weekend will be under partly cloudy skies will highs reaching the low 60’s.
HAVE A SPARKLING DAY IN CENTRAL OREGON!
