Local Alert Weather – Fri. PM
Happy first day of June, everyone!
Tonight will cool quickly after sunset, so grab a light jacket if you’re headed out this evening. Winds will be out of the northwest around 10 miles per hour. We’ll stay mostly clear overnight tonight with calm winds. Temperatures will be much warmer than we were this morning. We’ll start our weekend with temperatures in the upper 30s and lower 40s, which is average.
Saturday brings another sunny day. Highs will be in the low to mid 80s, which is about 10 degrees above average. A few clouds will develop across the Cascades in the afternoon and evening, but we’re still looking at mostly sunny skies.
Overnight into Sunday we’ll stay clear with lows in the upper 40s and lower 50s. Sunday morning will be mild and we’ll warm back into the mid 80s. The difference is on Sunday we’ll see strong wind gusts. Winds will be sustained about 20 miles per hour with gusts up to 30.
The winds mean a change is on the way, so we’ll start the week with cooler temperatures than what we’ll see for the weekend. Monday sees highs in the upper 60s and lower 70s, so you’ll notice the cool down! Mostly sunny skies are still expected.
Temperatures climb throughout the week ahead. A mostly sunny, dry 7-day forecast is in store for Central Oregon!
Have a happy & safe weekend!
