Local Alert Weather, Tue. AM, 7-3-18

KTVZ

Good Tuesday Morning, Everyone…

It was a clear and chilly start to your morning as several areas got down to a little below freezing this morning. We will stay sunny today, but a gentle flow of cold air from the N and NW will keep us cool today. Highs will be in the mid 70’s and gentle breezes at 5-10 mph will come out of the north.

Under mostly clear skies expect to see milder overnight lows tonight, scattered through the 40’s. Winds will turn light out of the west.

CAUTION: A Fire Weather Watch will stay in place through today and a Fire Weather Warning will be in place for Independence Day. With dry fuels, low relative humidity and high winds out of the NE, any fires started on the 4th of July will have the potential to spread very rapidly. Please use extra care with camp fires and fireworks tomorrow.

Thursday promises to be the hottest day of the week with highs in the mid 90’s. There is also the slight possibility of isolated showers later in the day. Friday and the following weekend are expected to be sunny with highs in the mid 80’s. 90 degree temperatures will return Monday.

HAVE A SPARKLING DAY IN CENTRAL OREGON!
