Sunday PM Local Alert Weather

KTVZ

Happy Sunday Central Oregon!

Hot and hazy out there for us today, we saw the smoke roll in this afternoon across the region from smoke from wildfires to our south in Oregon and Northern California.

Due to that smoke in the area, air quality levels are dropping. In Bend it’s at a moderate level, meaning is you are sensitive to air pollution you should be careful if you have to go outside.

Another hot day out there or us as well with temperatures in the 90s, while some areas hit that 100 degree mark.

We are going to see hot temperatures again tomorrow as we head into the work week, with highs around 100 plus degrees for much of the high desert.

Due to that high heat, there is a heat advisory set to go into effect Monday afternoon, and last until Thursday at 11 p.m.

That means you should be careful if you are outside, try to avoid sunlight exposure and drink plenty of water!

Overnight tonight we are going to see mild lows in the 50s to 60s for much of the region.

The hazy conditions hang around into Monday as well with the hot temperatures.

We look to stay hot Through Tuesday, then we see some relief in terms of high heat and smoky skies.

By the end of this next week would should be dipping back down into the 80s.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend Central Oregon!
