Local Alert Weather – Fri. PM
Happy Friday evening, everyone!
Tonight winds will still be gusty around 30 miles per hour through sunset. After sunset winds will be calmer, but we’ll be looking at changes overhead. Clouds will start to roll in once we get past sunset. We’ll see partly cloudy to mostly cloudy skies overnight. Lows will be in the upper 20s and low to mid 30s.
Saturday morning will be off to a cloudy start with just a few breaks in cloud cover. Temperatures will be chilly to begin the day, but it will feel a lot like November! We’ll see mostly cloudy to overcast skies throughout the day, but are expected to stay dry. We might see a few light showers to the north, but the rest of Central Oregon will see clouds.
Daytime highs for Saturday will be in the mid to upper 50s, which is still above average. Our average daytime high at the Redmond airport is 55 degrees.
Overnight into Sunday we’ll see mostly cloudy to partly cloudy skies. Lows will be in the mid to upper 30s, which is above average as well. Our average overnight low is 29 degrees.

Sunday sees a slight chance for showers, but a much better chance across the mountains. The Cascades will see mostly rain, but a little rain/snow mix. Highs on Sunday will be in the mid to upper 50s. Snow levels wil be higher than 6,000′ for the Cascades this weekend. Winds will be breezy at times on Sunday.
The beginning of next week brings cooler temperatures and dry conditions to Central Oregon. Daytime highs will be in the upper 40s and lower 50s, which puts us below average. We’ll see partly cloudy skies.
