Sunriver’s ‘taco sauce’ survivor won’t lack for tacos

KTVZ

Whether or not you believe a few packets of Taco Bell’s spicy sauce helped a Sunriver-area man survive five days stuck in the snow with his dog, Ally – a story that has circled the planet – you might have seen this next development coming.

“Taco Bell fire sauce saves lies,” Jeremy R. Taylor said in a Facebook posting after his and Ally’s rescue west of Sunriver on Friday afternoon.

On Tuesday, the big fast-food chain said it’s returning the favor.

“We’re very glad Jeremy and Ally are okay,” the company’s PR department said in a statement sent to NewsChannel 21.

“We know our sauce packets are amazing, but this takes it to a whole new level,” the company said.

“We’re in touch with Jeremy and getting him a well-deserved care package, a year’s supply of Taco Bell, and of course, all the sauce packets that come with it.”
