Man shares his account of Mayfield Pond shooting after witnessing friend’s death
The friend camping with a Bend man who was accidentally fatally shot at Mayfield Pond east of Bend on June 30 spoke with NewsChannel 21 on Monday about what happened.
Martin Briley said he had known Neil Martell, a retired veteran, for three years and watched him die in his arms from a bullet wound.
