PRINEVILLE, Ore. (KTVZ) – Students and parents in Crook County have reached out to NewsChannel 21 concerning the future of the district's athletic director.
Students and parents tell NewsChannel 21, Rob Bonner, who has been with the district for many years, could be removed by the school board.
NewsChannel 21 has learned from a source that, "Rob Bonner has not been and will not be terminated. He will maintain employment but be placed in a different position."
According to the district's website, an executive session, which was to take place before a special school board meeting tonight, has been canceled.
The special session was to "consider the dismissal or disciplining of, or hear complaints or charges brought against a public officer, employee, staff member or individual agent who does not request an open hearing."
The agenda does not specifically detail if the meeting this evening concerned Bonner's employment.
There will be a special school board meeting tonight which, according to the agenda, is focused on the district's finances.
NewsChannel 21's Dylan Anderman is in Crook County and will have a full report on NewsChannel 21 at 4 p.m. on FOX Central Oregon concerning this issue.
