Snow Report: Watching for a Late-Season Mix

While the valleys see spring showers, the Cascades are holding onto winter for just a bit longer. Here’s the outlook for the high country:

  • The Forecast: Expect a mix of rain and snow at higher elevations through the weekend. While the base areas may stay damp, the peaks should see some white stuff as temperatures hover near freezing.
  • Mid-Week Shift: A colder system arriving Wednesday looks promising for the mountains. It has the potential to bring the most significant fresh accumulation we’ve seen in a while—a nice "refresh" for the tail end of the season.
  • Travel Note: Most mountain passes will remain just wet during the day, but watch for slick spots during the overnight and early morning hours when temps dip.
