An inside look at the work of Bend’s new camping code enforcement team

(Update: Adding video)

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) --  The city of Bend's new camping code involving public property and rights of way has been in effect for nearly a month.

Prior to the new code, the city didn't ban camping on public property or rights of way. With the new rules, Bend has a team of people who enforce the code.

Sherri Meisel is the city's health and safety compliance coordinator. Her position was created to enforce Bend's new camping code rules.

Carly Keenan went on a ride-along recently with Meisel and the enforcement team. Here's her report.
