Cascade Astronomy group will have telescopes set up in Old Mill District to view Monday’s partial eclipse

SUNRIVER, Ore. (KTVZ) - Robert Grossfeld, director of the Cascade Astronomy & Rocketry Academy, has announced plans to set up telescopes in Bend's Old Mill District during the partial eclipse on Monday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
The maximum eclipse viewable from Bend is about 26%, which will occur around 11:25 a.m.
Never look at the sun without proper equipment, Grossfeld said. Cascade Astronomy & Rocketry will have special telescopes fitted with special filters for safe viewing of the sun.
"We want to thank the Old Mill District & Oregon Astronomy for allowing this free access to view this natural event," Grossfeld said.
