BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- AVID Cider Co., Bend’s original cidery, just launched Northwest is Our Core, its new initiative to promote conservation and raise funds for two Pacific Northwest nonprofit organizations: Oregon Wild and Conservation Northwest.

Avid’s cider is made by locals, for everyone. Their Pacific Northwest pride is not only closely tied to the fruit that grows on local farms, but also to the area’s wild spaces and awe-inspiring scenery. Northwest is Our Core is one way for Avid Cider Co. and its fans to give back and help preserve their home state’s natural beauty for residents, wildlife and tourists alike.

Cider lovers can feel good when they grab Avid’s flagship Blackberry Hard Cider (6.2% ABV) or its latest seasonal release, Apple Pie Cider (6.2% ABV), which is available across the Pacific Northwest for a limited time throughout the fall and winter season. Crafted from locally sourced ingredients and apples grown at the base of Mt. Hood, Apple Pie Cider tastes like vanilla and spice and fits perfectly nice with all PNW fall activities.

“Preserving Oregon’s natural beauty? I’ll drink to that,” said AVID Cider Co. co-founder Samantha Roberts. “It’s an honor to work with these outstanding conservation organizations to help keep our state wild. Through Northwest is Our Core, we hope you can enjoy some unique local merchandise and delicious Oregon cider while supporting a great cause.”

100% of profits from custom Northwest is Our Core merchandise sold will be donated directly to Avid’s nonprofit partners Oregon Wild, which is Oregon’s oldest statewide environmental nonprofit working to protect wildlands, wildlife, and waters, and Conservation Northwest, which focuses its conservation efforts to wildlands and wildlife from the Washington Coast to the British Columbia Rockies.

SWEEPSTAKES: To encourage folks to get outside and experience all the Pacific Northwest has to offer, AVID Cider Co. will also give away 25 National Park passes to lucky sweepstakes winners, along with an AVID Cider Co. t-shirt! Click here to enter before Oct. 31 for a chance to win (Must be 21 or older. See full contest details).
