Upcoming Bend Venture Conference announces five Growth Stage finalist companies; two are from Bend

Economic Development for Central Oregon

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- Economic Development for Central Oregon announced Tuesday the five finalist companies advancing in the Growth Stage competition for the 21st annual Bend Venture Conference, which will take place on Thursday and Friday, October 17–18.

In just a few days, these finalists will present on the Tower Theatre stage in downtown Bend. The Growth Stage competition at BVC highlights companies that have demonstrated significant traction and are poised for rapid expansion. Following considerable due diligence, companies in this category have historically been awarded funding ranging from $100,000 to $2,500,000 from the BVC LLC and partner VC funds.

The five Growth Stage finalists are:

  1. Beginly Health (Portland, OR) – An AI curated job matching platform for health care clinicians and employers.
  2. Green Canopy NODE (Seattle, WA) - A company that addresses the complex challenges of affordable housing through configurable, prefabricated kits for residential housing.
  3. Health Elements AI (Bend, OR) – A technology platform that leverages AI to streamline health data abstraction.
  4. ProMedix Inc. (Portland, OR) – A noninvasive medical device that accelerates diagnosis of circulatory dysfunction and sepsis.
  5. Square Baby (Bend, OR) – Dietician-designed, organic baby and toddler meals customized to age, stage and dietary needs including allergen introduction, vegan and animal proteins.

BVC is the longest standing and largest angel investment conference in the Pacific Northwest and serves as a catalyst for funding and support for promising startups.

Each year, a new BVC LLC Fund is raised to invest in the top companies competing in the Growth Stage. Attendees at the conference will have the opportunity to hear from these innovative companies, participate in networking activities and learn from industry experts in entrepreneurship and venture capital.

The Bend Venture Conference cannot guarantee that investments will be made in any specific amount, because the final amounts to be awarded are dependent on investment commitments received from third-party investors and the ability of the winning companies and the investors to agree on the terms and conditions of the investment.
