PRINEVILLE, Ore. (KTVZ) -- The Crook County Library invites families to visit their local library and sign up for the Find Your Voice! summer reading program.

Starting on Saturday, June 3, the library will host a range of free activities for children, teens, and adults to encourage and support a love of reading. Participants can win prizes for reaching their reading goals.

The staff of the Crook County Library has planned a wonderful program for kids, teens, and adults to make the library a great place to read, learn, and discover what’s available for their enjoyment. We have programs and events planned that will encourage our community to express themselves and find their voice through art, writing, cooking, acting, literature, and the discovery of our local community.

This summer, the library will be hosting our popular Storytime at the Park, a drop-in craft time, and read to a dog for kids.  For our teen community, we will be hosting a variety of programs ranging from cooking and improv classes to jewelry and candle making.  In addition, we will be offering a Painting Night and a Marie Kondo workshop for our adult patrons.  And no Summer Reading is complete without special performances, which will include a Didgeridoo performer, Azteca dance performance and more.

Along with our fun and exciting programs, the Crook County Library will be offering up to three free books for kids and teens and a free book for adult participants.  Once the program is complete, each participant is entered into a drawing for a LEGO kit or National Geographic Rock kit for kids, a photography package for teens, a spa kit for adults and more!

Crook County Library provides traditional and innovative library resources and programming to Crook County residents of all ages. It is an environment where people come together for lifelong learning, enjoyment, and connection.
