PRINEVILLE, Ore. (KTVZ) — The Prineville-Crook County Chamber of Commerce is seeking candidates for two upcoming vacancies on its board of directors. Members in good standing must submit their candidacy forms to the chamber office by Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at 4:30 p.m.

The board of directors consists of nine total members, seven of whom are continuing their current service. The recruitment effort aims to fill one entirely vacant director position and one seat currently held by a board member who intends to run for a second term.

Board terms are set for three years. The upcoming term will begin on July 1, 2026 and run through June 30, 2029. Participating on the board is intended to help guide the future of the organization and support the local business community.

To qualify for the election, candidates must gather endorsements from at least 10 chamber members. These endorsements must be turned in at the same time the candidate files for the position at the chamber office. Any employee of a business listed on the official membership roster may sign an endorsement. Additionally, individuals who represent more than one organization or business are permitted to sign twice.

The application process requires completing a Candidate Information Form and a Candidate Notice. Interested members may also review the official board member responsibilities as part of the application. A roster of current members is available at the chamber office for those needing to verify endorsements.

The Prineville-Crook County Chamber of Commerce office is located at 185 NE 10th St. in Prineville. Members with questions or those who wish to obtain a hard copy of the application materials can contact the office at 541-447-6304.

The three-year terms for the elected directors will officially commence on July 1, 2026.
