Crooked River Ranch Fire & Rescue receives new fire engine through state program, invites public to ‘push-in’ ceremony
CROOKED RIVER RANCH, Ore. (KTVZ) -- Crooked River Ranch Fire & Rescue has received a new wildland interface fire engine through a state program and is inviting the community to a special ceremony marking its arrival.
Thanks to Senate Bill 762 the Oregon State Fire Marshal was able to make several large investments in the Oregon Fire Service, CRR Fire Paramedic/Public Information Officer Grant Caudel said.
Among those investments, a new engine program that made it possible for several fire departments throughout the state to acquire new wildland interface engines.
Crooked River Ranch Fire & Rescue was among those fortunate enough to be selected by the Oregon State Fire Marshal to receive one of the new wildland interface engines, Caudel said.
"Capable of fighting both wildland and structure fires, the new interface engine will serve the community of Crooked River Ranch for many years to come," he said Monday.
To celebrate the arrival of the new engine Crooked River Ranch Fire & Rescue is inviting the community to take part in a traditional “Push-In” ceremony.
Firefighters and members of the community will push the new engine into the bays at the fire station, symbolizing the unity between the community and the fire department. The new engine will officially be pushed in on Wednesday October 9th at 6 p.m.
