The thefts occurred between 6 p.m. Wednesday and 6 a.m. Thursday, police said in a Facebook posting, including NW Claypool St., NW Ewen St., NW Deer St., NW Harwood St., NW 4th St., NW 5th St., NW Locust Ave., NW Cains Rd., NW 9th St., NW 10th St., NE 6th St., NE 7th St., and NE Belknap.

"We at the Prineville Police Department are working diligently to bring this case to a close and we appreciate your help and patience," the department said. "If you have any information related to this case, please call 541-447-4168 and reference case No. 24000768."

Interim Police Chief Shane Wilson said Friday evening, "We’ve received a few leads and are actively working them."

In the Facebook post, police added, "We would like to remind everyone to please lock your vehicles before going to bed at night. We also urge citizens to reconsider leaving valuable items inside your vehicles while they are unattended."
