Redmond Fire & Rescue cadets hold ‘Burn to Learn’ exercise on donated home


Redmond firefighters trained in techniques by burning a donated home at 732 NW Maple Avenue on Friday. They started by simulating several different types of small fires until they eventually burned the home down. This was an opportunity for invaluable training expense for a new class of cadets. After months of classroom learning and simulations, they got to operate their firefighting tools on a real fire.
