Rugby teams take to the field at Bend’s Pine Nursery Park for the 2024 Cascade Classic

Kelsey McGee is on hand and will have a report at Eleven

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- At Pine Nursery Park, several rugby teams from around the region are going head-to-head on the field Saturday for the 2024 Cascade Classic.

Seven men's teams and three women's teams are competing from around Oregon, Washington and Idaho.

Bend Rugby's first game for both the men and women began at 10 a.m., against the Portland Pigs. The matches continue until late in the afternoon.

Kelsey McGee is visiting the matches, capturing the day. Her report will be on NewsChannel 21 at Eleven (our 6 and 10 p.m. Saturday newscasts are pre-empted).
