Three local athletes are competing for the Bend Elks this summer

The Bend Elks are 13-11 and sit in third place in the South Division of the West Coast League. Three local athletes are competing for the Elks this summer. Bend High alum Kaleb Karpstein, is an infielder for the Elks. He is headed into his senior season at Northwest Nazarene. Simon Lemke, a Mtn. View grad, is back with the Elks for his second straight summer. Finn Edwards recently graduated from Summit, and he is back on the mound for the Elks after his injury in the spring season.
