Junior Forecaster: Jackson, who enjoys the rain

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- Jackson helped KTVZ News Chief Meteorologist John Carroll forecast the weather as our Junior Forecaster Wednesday. He is a sixth-grade student at High Desert Middle School and likes it when it rains.

Cool fact, he not only likes it for the cooler temperatures, but also the smell of a soft rain shower. Most folks don't think about it, but there is an awesome smell when the rain first hits the ground. His favorite activities when he is in school are .. recess and lunch.

When Jackson is not enjoying the rain or hanging out in the playground at lunch or recess, he plays baseball. He also likes to play golf.

Thanks, Jackson, for helping out with the weather!
