Junior Forecaster: Porter enjoys history, but likes to forecast the future

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- Porter will be a sixth-grade student at Pacific Crest Middle School in the fall and loves to study history.

Porter especially likes to read and learn about World War I. Forecasting weather is a little bit different than studying history, since the foundation of our forecast revolves around looking into the future.

Porter lives in the perfect location, Central Oregon, as his passion for weather goes across all four seasons. He enjoys biking in the warmer months and skiing in the winter. Another hobby for Porter is Jiu Jitsu, keeping fit while practicing self-defense.
