Snow likely over the weekend, off and on snow next week

The chance for snow is becoming more likely as the weekend arrives. Look for the potential for snow early Saturday morning in the High Desert that will accumulate a couple of inches. The mountains will see several inches of new snow.

Saturday will be snowy in the morning but should clear out by the afternoon. The temperature will be in the upper 30s so if any precipitation lingers around in the afternoon, it will be a mix of rain and snow.

Sunday will provide us with a brief break from the snow as high pressure crosses the area. This should be a cold day as the snow on the ground will reflect the solar energy and the air in place will be crisp. Expect highs in the middle 30s.

Monday will bring more snow showers and high temperatures in the low 40s. Snow will be off and on during the day.

Tuesday is going to be another cloudy day with some off and on snow mingled with some rain. Highs near 40. More snow is expected on Wednesday and Thursday but amounts are not yet determined. Colder pattern by mid-week with highs in the mid-30s and lows near 20.
