Cooler on Friday, chilly over the weekend

The run of 80° weather ended yesterday with Bend only reaching 79, still a few degrees above normal though.  Today we got back to the 80s, but only for today, Friday will see the mercury in the thermometer only reach the low 70s.  Normal highs for mid-June are the low 70s, so we are going to be on point climatologically.

The Cascades may see some light rain on Friday night and a few high elevation snow showers are possible. If you are heading west for the weekend, you may see a few slick spots through the passes.  FYI, the ground is warm, so no accumulation is expected.

Saturday and Sunday will be significantly cooler as highs top out in the low 60s and some upper 50s in Sisters and La Pine.  The cooler pattern will settle in for a couple of days and there may be more clouds than sunshine this weekend.

Weekend plans for Dad may require a jacket as Sunday will be in the 60s. A stray shower in Sisters is possible, but not likely, and the winds will be breezy, not windy.

Monday will be cloudy and rainy. Some indications are that we will see widespread light rain, others indications show us that it will be a spotty and isolated showery day.

Chilly pattern remains until Wednesday.
