Snow showers taper off, spotty mix Wednesday, dry late in the week
Overnight the snow activity will taper off and the chance for some light snow and rain. The off and on pattern is likely to return Wednesday before we begin a long stretch of dry weather. The area of low pressure responsible for the snow today is heading south and east, but we are still in line for some lingering precipitation.
Wednesday will be the last day in the line of showery conditions. There is a chance for some rain and snow to mix over Central Oregon but should not accumulate too much. The bulk of the showers will be confined to the mountains, but spotty rain and snow will develop in the area. Late in the day there is a chance for the snow and rain to end, but probably not before sunset.
Thursday starts a warm up and an extended period of dry weather. The snow showers and rain will be a thing of the past as we head into the end of the week.
Friday the temperatures hit the upper 50s under partly cloudy skies. Over the weekend our region looks to be in the 60s to near 70 by Sunday.
Snow riders are enjoying this day and the extra snow. The mountains will see a chance for more snow Wednesday.
