Turning the corner into a drier and milder pattern

The temperatures this week have been well below the normal middle fifties as highs struggled to get out of the 40s.  We experienced a variety of weather features this week, from rain to snow to graupel to a rogue thunderstorm or two. It is time to turn the page to a milder and quieter regiment of weather.

After mostly clear and chilly to crisp conditions overnight, the mercury in the thermometer will top out in the upper 50s Friday.  Sky conditions will be mostly sunny and the ground will be drying out.

Saturday looks to be a classic spring day with highs in the upper 60s. Much more reminiscent of a May afternoon than an early April day.  That trend will continue into Sunday but we will be noticing a change in the sky conditions.

Sunday will start out sunny but as the day moves along the clouds move in. Rain is expected to arrive after sunset and will linger overnight into Monday. Highs Sunday will still be in the upper 60s, but the change is on the way to a cooler regime.

Monday will be rainy and cooler with highs in the middle 50s, about normal for early April.  The rain will linger into Tuesday and the mountains will see mostly snow.

Please stay safe.
