Sunny and dry week ahead

0:00/ 0:00LIVEQuality1  AudioSubtitleSpeedNormal

Not much in the way of cloud cover over the next several days as high pressure takes over the region. Look for several days of sunshine and highs will be above normal each day. Normal high temperatures for the middle of April should hover around the upper 50s, Tuesday we hit the middle 70s.

Winds are not expected to be much more than breezy except for Thursday. Winds will be ramped up to the 15 – 20 mph range as a moisture starved front arrives and cools the region down to near 60. The cooler pattern, which is still above normal, is only expected to last one day as temps hit the upper 60s again.

The dry pattern lingers into the weekend and will be interrupted by a passing shower. The rain is likely to make little impact on Central Oregon as it will be short-lived and only be classified as light rain.

Temps cool down to the lower 60s on Sunday, and we may see temps in the upper 50s on Monday.

Please stay safe.
