Warm, sunny and dry to start the month of June

June begins with plenty of sunshine as well as above normal temperatures. The normal high for the first week of June in Bend is around 71°, we will be above that number all week.

There is a very large ridge of high pressure off the coast that will impact our weather all week and into the weekend. This ridge will provide a gradual warm up each day as we move through the week.

Expecting to see a weak disturbance brush through the area on Wednesday and give us some breezy conditions, but other than that it looks like a quiet week.

Highs on Thursday will reach the low 80s then the middle 80s are expected on Friday.

Heading into the weekend the mercury in the thermometer will top out in the upper 80s to low 90s under sunny skies.

The heat will continue into next week before we see a slight drop in afternoon temps to the middle 80s.

Remember to stay hydrated.

There are a few prescribed burns in the region that are putting up a good deal of smoke, so I expect to see some poor air quality overnight.

Please stay safe.
