Dry and warmer pattern moving through the week

There is not much moisture around to help with our deficit of rainfall for the region. Over the weekend the hope of getting some nice soaking rain did not come to pass, but we did stay cool and that does help with any firefighting efforts.  We only got 0.01” at both Redmond and Bend airports, which is to say we basically did not get anything that would help our negative precipitation amounts.

Don’t expect much in the way of rain this week as the region will remain dry and warm. The mercury in the thermometer is expected to reach the 80s Tuesday and Wednesday, once again above average for this time of year. The normal high in Bend tomorrow should be 76 therefore the forecast high of 86 is significantly warmer.

A few clouds arrive Wednesday but not enough to dip us back to normal temperature readings. Highs should still be in the low 80s. We close out the work week with highs near normal, topping out in the upper 70s under mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies.

Remember to stay hydrated when exercising outside, and take some breaks from time to time.

Please stay safe and have fun.
