Quiet pattern ahead, mild and dry on Halloween
(KTVZ, Bend Ore.) Dry pattern will linger through the rest of the week as we are under the northern edge of a high-pressure ridge. The cooler air to the north will drop into Oregon Thursday, but we will still be around normal for afternoon highs.
The chance for rain is not expected until Saturday, so the rest of the work week will be mild and pleasant.
Halloween is going to be a mild day with highs in the low 60s. Clouds are likely to arrive late in the day and will be around for “trick or treat” time in the evening. No rain is expected and a mild evening is likely.
Make sure to have the kiddos wear reflective gear on their costumes to be safe in the darkness.
Saturday will be rainy late. The rains were originally forecast to arrive late Friday, but the latest model runs have the rain holding off until the afternoon Saturday. The mercury in the thermometer will reach the upper 60s that afternoon, so no frozen precipitation is anticipated. Might see a flake or two over the highest peaks of the Cascades, but not enough to significantly impact any travel through the passes.
Sunday may see some lingering showers before sunrise, but overall, the day should be dry and mild with highs in the mid-50s.
Monday will be dry and pleasant with highs again in the middle to upper 50s.
Off and on rain showers are expected to start late Tuesday with highs in the 60s. Wednesday will have the best chance for widespread rain and some high-level wintry mix.
