Persistent pattern of precipitation this first week of November
(KTVZ, Bend Ore.) Expect to see plenty of cloud cover and off and on rain for the next several days. A series of weather disturbances come into the Pacific Northwest as a rainy pattern develops. Keep the rain gear handy.
Rain will begin a bit today, but be more likely as we move through the week. The rain arrives Tuesday from the south and will provide steady and soaking light rain. The rain will be present across the Cascades as well, but mingle with some snow at times as with temperatures hover in the middle to low 30s each day and even overnight.

Rain persists Wednesday and the temperatures will be in the upper 50s during the afternoon and dip to the 40s overnight. If you are traveling through mountain passes this week, you may see some black ice in the early morning hours before dawn, otherwise mostly a rain snow mix all week above 5500 feet.
Winds will pick up as the day moves along Wednesday.

Thursday will be rainy across the region, and the soggy conditions will really take over. The steady and light nature to the precipitation will allow easy runoff and soaking into the soils. This is a beneficial rain for the region as we prepare for the winter.
Friday the rain begins to taper off and we should see some sunshine. As the band Guns and Roses remind us, “nothing lasts forever, even cold November rain.”
Temperatures remain in the 50s all week, normal for early November.
The weekend will be dry and mild with highs in the 60s.
