Snow Report: Friday January 3rd

Rain and snow is falling on the Cascades with some of the snow base numbers take a bit of a hit as they drop a few inches. There is still over 100 inches of snow at Bachelor, Meadows, and Timberline, so there is still plenty of snow to groom. There should be a bit cooler air arriving Saturday so a lot more snow will arrive above 6000 feet. More snow is expected Sunday and Monday before an area of high pressure moves in and puts a stop to the snow machine for a few days. Officially a Winter Weather Advisory is in place for the Cascades until 10 pm Sunday. Expect tough roads to the resorts, but joy when you arrive.
