Some are calling for a Bluebird Day on the mountains, but there is an inversion going on today and probably the rest of the week. Normally temperatures are cooler the higher you go in the atmosphere, but during an inversion there is a layer of warm air above the cooler air at the surface. The result for snow riders will be temperatures at the base will be colder than at the top of the mountain today. Won't impact the amount of snow but may impact the "powder" factor. No new snow is expected on the mountains until next week.
