Local Alert Weather – Tues. PM
Happy Tuesday evening, everyone!
Clouds are beginning to roll in and will continue to do so overnight. Our latest models show a chance for a few showers developing near the Deschutes County/Klamath County border around sunset, so I’m keeping a close eye on that possibility. Partly cloudy skies are expected this evening with very mild overnight lows. Temperatures will be well above average in the low to mid 50s. Winds will be primarily out of the north.
Tomorrow welcomes showers back to Central Oregon. The best chance for showers looks to be in the afternoon, but the Cascades will see shower activity earlier. Showers are expected throughout the day.Tomorrow also has a good chance for a few thunderstorms. Highs will still be quite warm in the upper 70s and lower 80s. Winds will be out of the northwest around 15 miles per hour with stronger wind gusts within the storms.
Thursday still sees the chance for showers and thunderstorms. Highs will still be mild in the upper 70s and lower 80s. Rain shower chances continue through the end of the week, and cooler temperatures will settle in by that time. Friday’s highs will be in the low to mid 60s, which will be our coolest day on the 7-day forecast.
Memorial Day Weekend is looking dry so far with the best chance for a few remaining showers being Saturday morning. Temperatures will climb throughout the weekend and conditions will improve overhead. Sunday and Monday are looking like the nicest of the days this weekend with mostly sunny skies and highs in the mid to upper 70s.
