KTVZ

Good Monday Morning, Everyone…

The passage of a weak cold front will be most noted by cooler temps and higher winds today, but no real threat of rain. Under mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies highs will only reach the mid 60’s to low 70’s…a significant decrease from yesterday’s highs in the mid to upper 80’s. NW breezes will pick up to 5-15 mph this afternoon, with gusts to 20 mph. Those breezes will get stronger through the afternoon. Sustained wind will reach 10-20 mph out of the NW with gusts to 25-30 mph.

NW winds will stay gusty through the evening and then become much gentler, 5-10 mph, after midnight. Skies will stay mostly clear tonight. This will allow temps to drop to and in some areas below, freezing. Make plans now to care for sensitive plants and animals before retiring for the night.

A nice warming trend will carry us back into the low 80’s as we get through the middle of the work week. The cloud cover will be variable through the week. Saturday will include partly to mostly cloudy skies and a slight chance of scattered showers. Those showers look weak at this point and they should not last long. With all of the graduations and celebrations this week we will be sure to track any and all incoming activity for you!

HAVE A SPARKLING DAY IN CENTRAL OREGON!
