Local Alert Weather – Wed. PM
Happy Wednesday evening, everyone!
A RED FLAG OR FIRE WEATHER WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR THE EAST SLOPES OF THE CASCADES THROUGH 10 P.M. TONIGHT FOR GUSTY WINDS AND DRY CONDITIONS.
Tonight we’ll see breezy conditions with winds gusting 25 miles per hour out of the northwest. We’ve seen big improvements to our visibility and air quality across Central Oregon. Levels are back down to “Good” which we like to see! Overnight lows will be in the upper 40s and lower 50s tonight under mostly clear skies with some haze.
Tomorrow sees sunshine and cooler temperatures! Daytime highs will be in the upper 70s and low to mid 80s. Our average daytime high in 88 degrees at the airport in Redmond. Winds will be breezy at times gusting 25 miles per hour. Join us at the 2018 Deschutes County Fair and Rodeo Thursday for NewsChannel 21 Day!
We end the week with highs in the upper 70s and lower 80s (which might feel chilly!) Our last day with temperatures in the lower 80s was back on July 10th.
Overnight lows will be falling into the 30s for areas in La Pine and Sunriver with 40s for most of Central Oregon. If you have plants you are concerned about, then I would cover them up this week and this weekend.
Mostly sunny skies are expected for the High Desert this weekend. Daytime highs will be in the low to mid 80s.
Enjoy the cool down!
