Good Tuesday Morning, Everyone…

Storm activity pressing northward out of California will get reinforced by more winter storms from the Pacific. That process accelerated quickly this morning as snow showers combined with some patchy freezing fog. This is likely to continue somewhat sporadically through the day and into tonight. Highs will be in the mid to upper 30’s and breezes will be light out of the east. Patchy freezing fog will mix with some light snow showers tonight as lows dip into the 20’s. Breezes will be gentle out of the se at 5-10 mph.

This will worsen the driving conditions in the mountains, but the resorts will love it. Between tonight and Saturday morning Mt. Bachelor is expecting to receive 12-15″ of fresh snow.

Our temperatures will moderate for the rest of the week. Overnight lows will continue to drop to freezing and a bit below. Daytime highs, however, will climb into the mid 40’s. Our storm activity, therefore, will come in the form of mixed showers. Our skies are likely to stay cloudy through the weekend, but the chance of showers will diminish considerably.Partial clearing will begin Monday.
