HSCO offers furloughed federal workers free dog, cat food

The Humane Society of Central Oregon is offering free premium dog and cat food for federal employees on furlough.

People value pets as family members, and many provide the best of care by feeding premium pet food to their pets. Premium pet food can be expensive, so, in an effort to help federal employees continue to feed their dogs and cats the best, the Humane Society of Central Oregon has partnered with Freekibble and Halo Pet Food.

On Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 2 p..m., federal employees can receive premium dog and cat food at the Humane Society of Central Oregon (61170 SE 27 th Street in Bend). This is open to the tri-county area and Klamath County. To receive approximately a month of food, federal employees will need to show some form of proof of employment.

Federal employees can receive pet food assistance by coming to the Humane Society of Central Oregon in Bend at any time. Together, hand and paw, making a difference in the lives of animals.
