Local Alert Weather – Thurs. PM
Happy Thursday evening, everyone!
A ridge of high pressure is building into the region giving us clearer skies and will allow our temperatures to warm. Cooler air is heading east along with the gusty winds. The extended forecast is looking dry and mild.
This evening winds will gust around 15 miles per hour, but will calm after sunset. Overnight lows will be in the mid to upper 20s, which is slightly below average. Clear skies will be overhead — keep an eye out for stars!
Friday morning will start on a cold note, but will warm quickly. Highs will get into the upper 60s and lower 70s, which is a little above average for this time of year. Winds will be breezy at times, but not too strong. Mostly sunny to sunny skies are expected to wrap up the week.
Saturday will be well above average in the mid to upper 70s, which will feel like summer. Remember, waters are still quite cold, so don’t go jumping in before testing. Drink some extra water, apply sunscreen ofter, and keep an eye on fido! Saturday will be mostly sunny to partly cloudy.
Sunday’s changes include a slight cool down with breezy winds. Winds will be gusting around 20 to 25 miles per hour. Highs top out in the mid 70s, but might feel a little cooler with the gustier winds.
The beginnig of next week sees the winds stick around. Winds will gust around 20 to 25 miles per hour. Highs for Monday will be in the mid to upper 60s. Through the middle of next week we’ll see highs in the lower 70s and breezy winds. Mostly sunny skies will stay with us!
