Local Alert Weather – Wed. PM
Happy Wednesday evening, everyone!
Thunderstorms back across Central Oregon this evening with thunder, lightning, hail, rain, and gusty winds. If you hear thunder head indoors! The chance lingers until around sunset then we’ll lose our heat and storms will calm. Winds will be breezy at times around 15 miles per hour through the rest of the evening. Overnight we’ll be left with partly cloudy skies. Low temperatures will fall into the upper 30s and low to mid 40s.
Thursday looks to be more of the same weather pattern with calm mornings followed by chances for thunderstorms. High temperatures will get into the low to mid 70s again. Our average daytime high at the Redmond airport is 71 degrees. Friday will also see more of the same, but looks like more chances for thunderstorms than Thursday.
By the weekend storm activity chances look to be small. We’ll see mostly sunny skies with a few clouds Saturday and Sunday. Highs will be warmer and about 10 degrees above average in the lower 80s.
Remember to wear your sunscreen outdoors and drinks some extra water! Temperatures will be feeling much more like summer than spring.
Next week sees highs in the upper 70s and lower 80s with mostly sunny skies.
