Local Alert Weather – Wed. PM

KTVZ

Happy Wednesday evening, everyone!

We’ll stay dry tonight for the kickoff of the Sisters Rodeo, but we have some chances for rain showers ahead. Overall, we can expect winds to stay gusty at times around 25 miles per hour out of the west and northwest bringing us a change in the weather. Clouds will roll in overnight and areas out east have a chance for some rain showers. Low temperatures will still be mild in the mid to upper 40s because of the clouds.

Thursday sees a major cool down with highs not making it out of the lower 60s. Expect a chance for morning showers with a slight chance for light rain showers in the afternoon. Winds will be gusty at times around 25 miles per hour as well.

Overnight low temperatures will be cooling over the next several mornings getting close to the freezing mark. If you have plants outside I would cover them or bring them indoors Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights to be safe.

Friday looks to be our coolest day ahead with highs not making it out of the 50s! Our average daytime high is 73 degrees at the Redmond Airport. We see a chance for afternoon and evening light rain showers. A chance for thunderstorms will develop in the afternoon, but the best chance looks to be to our north.

By Saturday we shake the cooler air and warm back into the mid to upper 60s. Sunday will be 10 degrees warmer in the upper 70s. We’ll climb into the upper 80s and lower 90s for the middle of next week bringing us our warmest days of the year so far.
